I know it is a bit unusual to hear Rice, ham and cheese rolls, but believe me it rocks! It is a sushi-inspired appetizer or snack. Yes, a meal-in-a-roll. I love this kind of food especially because it is easy to prepare and great for a get together or a cocktail party. And to make a little twist for this recipe, I made it a little spicy just enough to crave for more. So without further ado here's how it goes.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
Ingredients:
- Ham - sliced
- Cheese - sliced
- Rice
- Spicy Bread Crumbs
- Salt
- Egg
- Oil
- Toothpick
Procedure:
- Place a slice of cheese on top of a ham.
- Put a spoon of rice on top of it.
- Carefully roll the ham to cover cheese and rice. Seal it with toothpick on two sides and in the middle.
- Do the same for the rest.
- Divide 1 roll into 3, according to the distance of your 3 toothpicks.
- Dip each small rolls to a beaten egg and then to breadcrumbs seasoned with salt.
- Heat oil in a pan, just enough to deep-fry the rolls.
- Fry the rolls in a low medium fire for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once cooked, place it on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.
- Serve with ketchup or mayo =D
