I have always heard great things about P.F. Chang's from friends but have never been to one myself. When I heard that they just opened late last year here in Abu Dhabi, I was excited to try their amazing Chinese food.
My husband wasn't so adventurous when it comes to new restaurant or food. He always prefers to be in his comfort zone, but luckily he agreed to dine in there to celebrate our anniversary.
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro at Abu Dhabi World Trade Center makes an impressive impression just on approaching the restaurant. Walking into the restaurant we were greeted with such kindness from the people who worked there.
I liked the decor of Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling, cozy ambience and large stone horse statues at the entrance. The restaurant is huge, despite the fact that it is inside a mall. It was almost full with their hungry customers when we came in, fortunately, we were seated almost immediately.
The menu is extensive, but not so huge as to be confusing. We ordered Fried Chicken Dumplings for our starter but unfortunately it came late, so we just ate it together with our main courses. We had Crispy Honey Chicken and Wok-Charred Beef, both served with rice. The portions are very generous, so you will surely enjoy each bite.
The staffs were friendly and very accommodating. Slight flaws with the services were that they forgot to give us our silverware even if everything was already served on our table; and late serving of the starter. We were informed that the starter will take time to be served. We assumed that we will start our dinner later than expected, but then they served our main courses straight away and the staff came in to us asking if we enjoyed our starter. I told her that we didn't receive it yet, so she immediately followed it up. Other than these very slight mistakes, everything went well.
One thing I also noticed is that they only offer an expensive, I guess, imported bottled water. They should have considered local bottled water to avoid too costly beverage in their menu.
Indeed, very elegant decorations, spacious seating and value for money. P.F. Chang’s is definitely ideal restaurant for a relaxing dining experience.
