Pan Seared Crispy Salmon

Been craving for salmon from the past few days. I personally love salmon especially with my Sinigang sa Miso. But since it was our 'no rice' dinner, I decided to cooked it in a very simple way. This dish could be perfectly match with any vegies. My husband liked broccoli and asparagus, I added some mashed potatoes to have a little carb on the side :)

Here's my delicious and easy to prepare crispy salmon. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • Salmon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil

Procedure:

  1. Pat your salmon with paper towel to make sure it is dry.
  2. With a sharp knife and the skin facing upwards, pinch the steaks, and gently score the skin of the salmon.
  3. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat your non-stick pan with low medium fire and put olive oil.
  5. Put the salmon, skin side down.
  6. After few minute minutes, when you notice that almost 3/4 of the salmon meat is cooked, carefully lift the fish with a spatula to see how the skin is browning and almost crisp. Turn the fish over.
  7. Cook the meat side for 1 1/2 minutes.
  8. Gently turn the fish over. Switch off the heat and let the skin cook again for a minute.
  9. Remove salmon and place on a paper towel.
  10. Serve and enjoy.
